Business, Management and Administration

This is a practical course which places emphasis on the development of those skills which are in demand across the public, private and voluntary sectors such as ICT, communication and team working. This programme is assessed by course work only. You will also study Essential Skills Wales through the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification at Advanced level.


 

This is an excellent introductory course to the business world, looking at such things as customer relations, business competition, cash flows, retail operations and how to start your own business. The programme is assessed by course work only.  You will also study Essential Skills Wales through the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification at Intermediate level.

 This is a open professional qualification which provides practical knowledge of essential marketing skills. You will learn how customers behave and also the principles of market such as the marketing mix. The introductory certificate provides a good grounding in marketing theory for progression onto the full Professional Certificate at Level 4.

The course is for you if you have some experience of using a computer, but want to gain the specific computer competences that employers value with an emphasis of skills for the working office environment. This is a full time, 3 days a week intensive course aimed at those wishing to develop their computer skills for work in an office environment.

The course aims to build the confidence of practising or potential first line managers, supervisors and team leaders. And are specially designed to give practising or aspiring first line managers a solid foundation in their formal development as a manager.

This progamme replaces the Internal Verifying course namely the V1/V2 and is suitable for those who want to further develop their Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.

This programme provides the opportunity to learn skills associated with office work and business. There is a broad range of opportunities available to successful students as there is increasing demand for competent qualified individuals who meet the demands of the modern office.  This includes NVQ 1 in Business and Administration.

Work experience will be organised for you to allow you to gain the NVQ elements of the course.

The course also includes the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification and Essential Skills Wales at Foundation level.
 

This programme provides the opportunity to learn more advanced skills associated with office work and businesses. There is a broad range of opportunities available to successful students as there is increasing demand for competent, qualified individuals who meet the demands of the modern office.  This includes NVQ 2 in Business and Administration.

Work experience will be organised for you to allow you to gain the NVQ elements of the course.

Operated in association with University College Newport, the course is intended to introduce people to the skills of planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating teaching and learning. It prepares you for the post 16 education field, including; Further, Adult, and Higher Education; Community Education or vocational training in the public and private sectors.
