3D Laser Scanner

CAM can offer an array of 3D scanning services utilising our measuring arm and laser scanning head, complemented by a suite of professional reverse engineering software.

Our Perceptron laser scanner is able to record more than 400,000 points of data per second and is accurate to 0.024mm.

We are able to fully reverse engineer an object to create a parametric 3D CAD model, digitise it to create a polygonal model more widely used for 3D printing or create a rapid surface model of a complex shape or form.

Typically reverse engineering and digitising are used for creating previously non-existent CAD, analysing accuracy as part of quality control procedures or for digital archiving.

The system is also fully portable allowing us to scan off-site if it is more practical for our clients.
