CAM’s specialist product development engineers are dedicated to providing a comprehensive design service for clients, taking new products to market or enhancing those that already exist.

As part of our outstanding design service the centre utilises the latest technology such as SolidWorks 3D CAD software. The program is a powerful solution for rapidly developing products, facilitating design for manufacture and assessing feasibility. CAM can also produce stunning photo rendered images by placing a product in a realistic setting that is ideal for marketing and promotion.

Our services also include 3D laser scanning, allowing us to accurately reproduce castings, moulds and even historical artefacts for further development, visualisation or to create data that never previously existed.

In addition, the centre’s SolidWorks package offers simulation - to analyse a product or component for stress and wear, and visualise a product’s lifecycle and sustainability. This is a vital tool in today’s increasingly environmentally conscious world.
