The Framework is set by the Sector Skills Council, People 1st, who takes into consideration the views of employers in the industry. The current framework requirements are:
- NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Food and Beverage Service, Beverage Service, Food Service, Front of House Reception, Food Production and Cooking, Professional Cookery, Housekeeping or Hospitality Services
- Technical Certificate - Award/Certificate Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Route Specific)
- Essential Skills Communication Level 1
- Essential Skills Application of Number Level 1
- NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Professional Cookery
- Technical Certificate - Award/Certificate Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Professional Cookery.
- Essential Skills Communication Level 2
- Essential Skills Application of Number Level 2
