Apprenticeship routes - Hospitality and Catering

The Framework is set by the Sector Skills Council, People 1st, who takes into consideration the views of employers in the industry. The current framework requirements are:

Hospitality and Catering
  • NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Food and Beverage Service, Beverage Service, Food Service, Front of House Reception, Food Production and Cooking, Professional Cookery, Housekeeping or Hospitality Services
  • Technical Certificate - Award/Certificate Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Route Specific)
  • Essential Skills Communication Level 1
  • Essential Skills Application of Number Level 1
  • NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Professional Cookery
  • Technical Certificate - Award/Certificate Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Professional Cookery.
  • Essential Skills Communication Level 2
  • Essential Skills Application of Number Level 2
