International Foundation Programmes

The IFP subject route is a fast track to Higher Education and based on UK qualifications. On successful completion, you are free to apply to any UK institution including Bangor University or continue on a HND programme at Coleg Menai with the opportunity to apply for a partial scholarship.

What will I study? This course is based on recognised UK qualifications. It provides international students with the opportunity to learn new skills and qualifications to gain entry onto a UK university degree course. There are 4 pathways:

• Foundation in Science
• Foundation in Electronic Engineering
  
• Foundation in Business
• Foundation in Hospitality Supervision

In addition to this, you will receive:

• Study skills
• English language
• IELTS preparation

Entry requirements:

• Minimum IELTS 5.0 in all parts or equivalent
• You must have a suitable school-leaving certificate in relevant subjects. Copies of your school test results must be sent with your application.
