Costs

How to enroll

Course Costs:
8/10 week x 2 hours course = £45
15/30 week x 2 hours course = £55
Adult Basic Skills support course level 1 = £195
Adult Basic Skills support course level 2 = £285

All Another Chance courses are free

Learndirect and courses fees are dependant on course

Concessions:
Concessions are available to those claiming Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, or are in receipt of working tax credits, pension credits, you will be asked to pay half on the course fee . You will be required to make a written application for a concession. Documentary evidence is required in certain cases (see notes on the application form). The form then has to be sent to the Finance Unit, Coleg Menai, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 2TP (or you can hand it in at any of the college's centres).

Should your application for a concession be successful you will receive (by surface mail) a code and pin number which will enable you to enrol on a course and not be required to pay fees.

Additional Costs:
Some courses do involve additional costs; these could be for books as with Welsh for Adults, and exam fees. Cost of Flowers for flower arranging, cost of oils for Aromatherapy.

Welsh for Adults text books £20

Exam fees are set by the Awarding Bodies and will change on an annual basis.
How to Enrol
Once you have decided which course you are interested you can fill in the evening class enrolment form. You can find a copy of the enrolment form below; it is also available at all of the college’s centres. Please ensure that you enter your name and address, the course, the course start date and reference. Please remember to sign and date the form.

Payment
The college does not accept cash, you will therefore need to attach a cheque for the correct amount to the form or fill in your card details in the appropriate space on the form. If you qualify for a concession you will need to attach documentary proof of benefit to the form. The form then has to be sent to the Finance Unit, Coleg Menai, Bangor LL57 2TP or you can hand it in at any of the college’s centres.

Ideally, the college should receive your enrolment form at least 2 weeks before the course start date.

Refunds
If your course does not run (this is usually because of lack of numbers) then the college will refund the fee to you automatically.
